Booking' Time off' for Tech just like booking a job or estimate

We currently book time off for the techs as jobs, this generally generates work orders that are not work orders and gives us some misleading figures as to number of jobs per week etc.

 

We use the work order function so that both the tech and office can see the time booked off.  Would it be possible to create something very similar to a work order which would include recurring 'time off' etc.

 

In my mind this would be the same as a work order or estimate but would be classed as 'appointment'  would appear on tech and office schedule but would not create a work order that appears in work order lists etc.
