Timesheets

Designed as a digital replacement for paper time cards, the Timesheets functionality allows users track billable hours on the mobile app. In addition, users can run reports of all employees’ billable hours. To use Timesheets, we first have to enable to enable this in your account. If you wish to use it, contact your account manager or email support@servicebridge.com.

In this article, we will cover:

  • How to set-up, create, and use Timesheets on the desktop version and mobile app
  • How to run custom reports on Timesheet fields

Terms

  1. Timesheet. A Timesheet is a digital form that tracks employees' billable and non-billable hours in a single workday.
  2. Time Card. A Time Card is a specific type of employee time in a workday. For example, a 10-hour work day can be divided into four Time Cards: 4 hours of regular billable work, 1-hour lunch break, 3-hours of billable work, and 2-hours overtime. Combined, these four Time Cards create that day's Timesheet.
  3. Time Codes. Time Codes denote the different types of employee time, and are attached to Time Cards. Common examples are: lunch, travel, overtime, working hours, and more. ServiceBridge users create their own Time Codes and determine if the Time Code refers to billable employee time.
  4. Tags. Tags are for reporting purposes. By creating a tag and attaching it to  an employee’s Timesheet, users can run reports on employee work by its tag. A common example is a specific job: if a user wants to know how much billable time has been spent on a specific job, this time can be given a “tag” and then isolated in a report.
